Leadership Development as a Service

When I joined salesforce in January 2002, the delivery of CRM (customer relationship management) was inefficient, high cost, fragmented and very difficult to access for the average employee.

The delivery of CRM needed to be reimagined and reinvented, and salesforce did just that. The company pioneered software-as-a-service.

Software went from a product to a platform (a utility) with the efficiency and ease that unlocked the benefits of CRM for millions of organizations and their employees.

In 2023, the delivery of Leadership Development (LD) looks a lot like CRM did in 2002: fragmented, expensive and inconsistent.

In fact, most leadership development as we know it today was designed for a world that no longer exists.

Organizations cannot afford the average of $4,000 to $7000 per year to develop and inspire leaders, and frankly that analog delivery system of leadership consulting, guest speakers and workshops misses the primary modality of how most people learn today. Emerging leaders and remote teams no longer learn with high touch, low frequency experiences, but just the opposite. They learn continuously with high frequency and low touch reading, watching and communicating.

Leaderly helps leaders and non-leaders form new ideas and habits by bringing continuous leader development to wherever they are…frequently.

Continuous self-development is the growing norm in human development. And this evolution of software and psychology unlocks this new and globally accessible medium of leadership-as-a-service.  As Rutgers Professor and “ZEO” author, Mark Beal, states, “there is no greater and more necessary lifelong habit than the sustained quest to lead yourself, and as a result, to lead others as well.”

This is the mission of Leaderly: to be the premier leader development software in the world, so anyone can learn the lead. Leadership as a service is not just for C-Suite leaders to refine and reinforce their habits, but it is for the 82% of employees who never experience any leader development, to start developing their own insights, introspection and initiative.

Like salesforce did with CRM, leadership-as-a-service grows the opportunity and benefits of learning leadership for all, because we have the data and the science to prove that anyone can learn to lead.

Welcome to leadership as a service. Welcome to Leaderly.
